Welcome!

I am an Associate Professor here at Azusa Pacific's School of Business and Management. I teach Economics and Quantitative Analysis in both our undergraduate and MBA programs. My research interests are in the integration of Development Economics, Environmental Economics and Christian Missions work. A graduate of Grinnell College ('80), UC San Diego and UC Riverside, I am married to Laura Rutherford Conover (Grinnell Class of '84). We have two daughters: Andrea is eleven and Bethann is seven.

Research

My current research areas are:  

(1) Economic recovery from natural disasters. See www.apu.edu/~stevemicetic for information on Disaster Recovery. 

(2) Strengthening microfinance and microenterprise development projects and the organizations that fund them.

(3) Mission effectiveness analysis for not-for-profit organizations.

(4) The economic, social and environmental sustainability of growth in China.
