Christian Teachers' Conference at APU November 16th, 2002

The Center for Research in Science, together with Reasons to Believe and the Christian Educator's Association International (an organization made up of 40,000 Christian teachers), hosted a one day seminar for school teachers at APU on November 16th. The seminar provided 1 optional unit of continuing education credit. One half of the seminar was dedicated to CEAI, whose legal personnel informed the teachers of what can and cannot be taught in a public school. During the other half of the seminar, Reasons to Believe personnel introduced attendees to a creation model and intelligent design materials that can be introduced legally into current school curricula.

The objectives for this seminar were:

1) to empower and encourage Christian teachers in the sciences;

2) to develop educational materials enabling the Christian worldview to be discussed in public schools;

3) to show teachers that they have support resources in this endeavor.
